Sorry for the long overdue update, but July has been a rough month for me. I didn't bounce back from my two surgery like I thought I would. I went back for a follow-up doctor appointment on Tuesday, and everything looked so good I started the expander process.
I am sore, but nothing compare to what I have went through. I went back to work part-time on the 21st of July. I was starting to stress out about no pay coming in. I will work part-time for another week. The doctor wants me to still take it easy. I go back to him on the 7th of August and if things are still looking good, I will be able to return full time on the 11th.
Thanks again for all the prayers.

I need more Prayers
Hello Friends & Family,
I need a lot more prayers. I am going to have to have more surgery.
After the doctor took my last two drainage tubes out, I had fluid that
built up and on the 9th a small part of my incision busted open. At
first it was a good thing, it was my body getting rid of unwanted
fluid, but it did it again today, but this time he can see the
expander. Which isn't good. He is afraid infection will set in if I
keep waiting for it to close on it's on. I go back to see the doctor
on Tuesday, and if hasn't closed he will have to go in and replace the
expander and clean & wash the site out. Please pray that my body
will get rid of the unwanted fluid, & be able to accept the expander
this go around. He thinks the problems is coming from the radiation
treatment I had done. I have to take the good with the bad.
I know with God on my side I can do anything. Please pray very hard
for me, my doctor, & most of all Steve and the kids.
Thanks again & I love all of you,
Renee
Update: I ran into problems on Friday and had to go to the doctor. He has moved my surgery up to Monday. Please keep us all in your prayers.

Update on Me
Ready or Not I will be returning to work on Monday the 16th. I went
to the Doctor last Friday and he took out my last two drainage tubes.
This weekend was rough, I had fluid that built up, and by Monday it
busted part of the site. I went in on Monday & today so he can open
the site and push the fluid out. He showed me how to do it today, so
I can push the fluid out this weekend, but over all I am doing really
good. Thank you for all the love, support and most of all the prayers
it meant a lot to me.

Surgery Update
Hello Everyone,
Sorry for the long over due update. The surgery & recovery was more then I ever thought.
I had Latissimus Dorsi Flap Reconstruction with Tissue expander's along with right side mastectomy. The surgery took 9 hours. Steve & mom along with the best kids a mom could ask for sat Patiently waiting every hour for the an update. The plan was to run the kids to school, but both kids would not leave until they knew their mom was ok. Stephanie was really strong until she got home, then the tears came, but poor Steven my strong little boy couldn't hold the tears back when he had to leave his mom that night.
I came home from the hospital last Friday, moving very slow. Today I had two tubes taken out, and hopefully I will get the other two out next week.
Thanks again for all the support, friendship, and most of all the prayers.
Love In Christ,
Renee

Urgent Prayer Request
Will everyone please say a prayer for Travis Bane. He is a good
friend of ours from church & school. He is eleven years old. He is
having surgery Today in Duke on his spine. They are going to fuse
a metal rod to his spine and move his organ back into place. His
spine is so curved that it is causing him to have problems breathing,
and his parents were told he had to have the surgery. If he don't he
will die and if he has the surgery there is a change he might not make
it through. If they are able to go through the back he will have a
better change, but if they have to go through the front they will have
to go through the diaphragm his changes isn't good. I am attaching a
few pictures of Travis we took Saturday at the Park, so everyone can put
a face with the prayers...
Thanks and God Blessing to everyone.

Race For The Cure 2008
Today was the Race For The Cure. There was over 11,000 people there to walk for a Cure. My Mom, Amy, Stephanie, Steven, and myself walked 3 mile in 1 hour 14 minutes. Steve & Cyndi ran and finished in 30 minutes. This was their first race they have ran. Last year I was only able to go 1 mile and had to stop 3 or 4 times, but this year I walked the whole way and didn't stop. Thanks to everyone for all the support.

Prayer Request
Hello Everyone, I am Travis and my mommy and daddy found out last week, that I am going to have surgery on my spine. My spine is growing "s" shape, which is causing my heart, lungs and other organ to move around. I am now starting to have problems breathing & I am in a lot of pain. I don't like to sit in my wheel chair. The doctor wanted to wait until I am 12, which is next March, so I can grow a little more. But since I am having problem, they went on and made the decision to have the surgery a little earlier. I am having surgery on May 12th and the doctor will have to pull my body and stretch it, then they will line my heart, lungs in place and put metal plates in my spine to hold it together. My mom & dad has talk to a lot of different Doctor's and they think I am ready for the surgery. I will have to stay in the hospital in ICU for at least a week. When I come home I have to lay flat in bed for a month. My mommy & me will ride home in a ambulance and have to have a nurse stay with me 24 hours a day to help take care of me. I will be going to Duke hospital to have my surgery, my mommy is staying with me, but I want be able to see my two brothers & my sister. Please pray for them.
Since I want be able to play outside for a whole month, we are going to the North Carolina Zoo the Saturday before my surgery with a lot of my friends. I can't wait. Renee will post some pictures for everyone.
The doctor says my brain doesn’t work, but they can’t understand why I can laugh, and following the sound of my mommy, daddy, brothers and sister voices. I can respond to my doctor’s voice also. The doctor doesn’t know why and how, but I know why “Jesus”
Will everyone please say a prayer for me, my family, and my doctors. I don’t like seeing my family so sad.
Thanks and God Bless You.
Travis
