Family Update

Sorry for the long overdue update. I am doing ok, still taken chemo every week. My care plan got missed up and I wasn't getting one of my chemo. I kept telling the nurses, but they said no. So the whole month of May I didn't get one of my chemo, so now I am playing catch up and it is kicking my butt. I am still trying to work part-time, and that is a job of it on. I am so tried when I get home I will fall asleep as soon as I get home. This go around of chemo is affecting my short term memory (Chemo Brain). My whole job is based on short term memory... and that is going really rough, thank goodness they are being really good and helping me out.

I will have my next PET Scan in late August and hopefully all traces of cancer will be gone. God is good...

They kids are loving summer, but is ready to go back to school. They are missing their friends. My computer is still down at home, and don't have much time at work to post, but I will try to have more update sooner.

GOD IS GOOD

I got a very good report on Friday. The spot that was on the spine is"DEAD CANCER CELLS". This is God's Work and God's Work Only. When I found out in November that my cancer had spread, they told us that they couldn't treat the spot on the Spine, they could only keep it from spreading. Will today, the doctor told us that the spots were"DEAD CELLS". GOD'S WORK AT HAND.
The spots on the lung are a lot smaller, and there is NO inflammation or fluid in the lungs now. The PET scan is based on a 0 to 20 scale,20 meaning that they can look and tell it is cancer. In November, My PET Scan score was a 20, in Feb. my PET scan score was a 5, today my score was a 3.
The prayers are working along with the chemo. I am going to do another 3 months round of chemo and have another PET scan in 3 months.
So please keep the prayers coming, God is answering every prayer.Thanks for all of the prayers, support and love. It means the world to our family.

Family Update

I know it has been a long time since I have posted. For the last few weeks I have been really under the weather. My doctor sent me to a ENT specialist, and I found out I had a bacteria infection in my sinuses. The doctor put me on antibiotic for 30 days. Last week I started feeling better and so far this week has been really good. I am still working part-time and doing chemo every Monday, and I will have my next PET scan May the 18th. So please keep the prayers coming, so hopefully all cancer is gone.

We had a really nice Easter and I was able to go to Church on Easter Sunday and we went to both Grandparents houses for lunch & supper. I was stuff by the time dinner was over.

This weekend May 2nd was the Race for the cure Walk. It was a wonderful day for a walk and to honor all the women in the world that has battled Breast Cancer. My goal was to walk at least 1 mile, but I keep on going and was able to walk the whole 3 miles. I wanted to show my kids that you never give up, and to get trying. I paid for it later, but it was worth it.

My computer at home has a bad virus and we are unable to post picture & update, so hopefully when it is up and running again I can post some pictures.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter and doing great.

Love All of You

10th Annual Komen NC Triad Race for the Cure

Dear Friends and Family,
I recently accepted the challenge to Form a team for St. John's Lutheran Church & School. Please join me by joining our team or by making a donation to support Renee's team. One in seven women will be stricken with breast cancer in her lifetime and the more we raise, the more the Triad North Carolina Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure can give back to fund vital breast cancer education, screening and treatment programs in our own community and support the national search for a cure. Please click on the link below to join our team.

Please join me in the fight by pledging your support to our team by participation in the Race or contributing generously to the 2009 Komen NC Triad Race for the Cure® . Your tax-deductible contribution will fund innovative outreach and awareness programs for medically underserved communities in Triad North Carolina and national breast cancer research. It is faster and easier than ever to support this great cause - you can make a donation online by simply clicking on the link at the bottom of this message. If you would prefer, you can also send your tax-deductible contribution to the address listed below. Whatever you can give will help! I truly appreciate your support and will keep you posted on my progress.
Thank you so much for your time and support in the fight against breast cancer! Every step counts!

Sincerely,
Renee Moore

New Alphabet

A is for apple, and B is for boat,

That used to be right, but now it won't float!

Age before beauty is what we once said,

But let's be a bit more realistic instead.

Now The New Alphabet

A's for arthritis;

B's the bad back,

C's the chest pains,

Perhaps car-d-iac?

D is for dental decay and decline,

E is for eyesight, can't read that top line!

F is for fissures and fluid retention,

G is for gas which I'd rather not mention.

H .. High blood pressure--I'd rather it be low;

I .. For incisions with scars you can show.

J is for joints, out of socket, won't mend,

K is for knees that crack when they bend.

L 's for libido, what happened to sex?

M is for memory, I forget what comes next.

N is neuralgia, in nerves way down low;

O is for osteo, bones that don't grow!

P for prescriptions, I have quite a few,

Just give me a pill and I'll be good as new!

Q is for queasy, is it fatal or flu?

R is for reflux, one meal turns to two.

S is for sleepless nights, counting my fears,

T is for Tinnitus; bells in my ears!

U is for urinary; troubles with flow;

V for vertigo, that's 'dizzy,' you know.

W for worry, NOW what's going 'round?

X is for X ray, and what might be found.

Y for another year I'm left here behind,

Z is for zest I still have-- in my mind.

I've survived all the symptoms, my body's deployed, and

I'm keeping twenty-six doctors fully employed!!!

St. John's Field Trip to Skateland

The whole school went on a Field Trip to Skateland. Half of the kids didn't know how to skate, but they all had fun. Steve had to help hold up most of the kids in the 1st grade. Stephanie & Steven did really good for their first time.

March Snow Storm

This morning we woke up with snow on the ground. My first day back to work, and I had to take a vacation day because of snow. The kids didn't want it to snow, because they wanted to wear their PJ's to school for "Lutheran School Week". The way it looks outside, I don't think they will get to go tomorrow.

Daddy Daughter Dance 2009

I wanted to share the picture of Steve & Stephanie Daddy Daughter Dance. If you can remember last year Stephanie got the flu and didn't get to go, but boy this year she made up. Her and her daddy did the bunny hop, slow dance, and danced their last dance to "Butterfly Kisses". Steve said he was so glad it was dark, because he had tears in his eyes. I am so happy they had a good time. Stephanie also won one of the door prizes, she gets a free manicure.
