A scary one? Is he really as big as he looks in the picture. he looks like a beetle, except for his size, which looks huge.
There are several websites where you can look up bugs to help identify them. We have looked up several interesting spiders that we've found in our yard.
Hope you are able to identify him soon.

The picture makes the bug look smaller, he is as big as the palm of my hand. We did find a few web site, we sent the picture to them and now just waiting to hear back from them.
