PATTESON FAMILY REUNION

I went to my family reunion Sunday in West Virginia; it was a happy day, but also a sad day. We are a very lucky family we have only lost 12 member of our big family. This family started with two wonderful people, my grandparents.

Jesse & Exie Patteson was married October 25, 1922. On their wedding night my grandpa told my grandma, he wanted 5 boys and 5 girls. God bless them with 10 wonderful birth kids, one adopted child they raised from birth. They have 39 grandchildren, and I can’t begin to count the great, great-great and great-great-great grandchildren. My Aunt Pearl has over 100 in her family along. This past year two of my uncle is declining in health fast, they were with us Sunday, but God might want them home with him soon. I took a picture of my mom with all her brothers, and sister. Their ages are from 56 to 84. There isn’t a month goes by that they don’t talk with each other. They are closer then any brother and sister I have ever seen. I don’t know what they are going to do when ones missing. All the sisters get together the week after the reunion and take a trip together or just spend time together. They have one big sleep over. The boys used to get together, but health has got in the way.




The weather was perfect and all the kids had a blast, it was wonderful visiting and talking with all my cousins. I loved watching my kids play with their cousins they only see once a year. I hope and pray that we can remain as close as our parents.
