STEPHANIE BIRTHDAY DAY!

Yesterday was a busy day for Stephanie, we took her and Steven to the library to get them their on library card. They both got to get two books, Stephanie was amazed with all the books. She can't wait to go back and pick out as many as she wants to get. She loves for someone to read to her, we read 5 books a night for school.

After we left the library we went to see "Barnyard". It was a cute movie and she didn't take her eyes off the screen the whole time.

The biggest part of her birthday was next, she got to go to Build A Bear Workshop. She picked out a monkey. She named the monkey "CoCo Brownie Moore". She had so much fun, stuffing, fluffing, and putting the heart in the monkey. She gave it a bath and picked out an angel outfit for Coco to wear home.

We took her out to eat next to Captain Tom's Seafood Restaurant. All the waitress, and the whole restaurant stood up and sang Happy Birthday to her. Her face was so red.

We ask her last night if she got everything she wanted for her Birthday, she hugged us both and said Yes. She said I have you and daddy and that's all I every wanted.

I love you, Stephanie.....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEPHANIE!

Happy 6th Birthday, Stephanie Launa Moore.!

We love you so much. You bring incredible joy to our lives. You’re sweet, carrying, and a joy to be around. Daddy and I are so grateful for you.

When I found out I was going to have a baby, we were so excited. I cried so many tears that day and everyone else did also. You are my gift from God. The day you were born, you gave us a scare, but again God answered our prays. I never wanted you out of my reach. For the first year of your life, I couldn't let you down. I wanted to hold you, kiss you, and hug you to death.

As you grow, I continue to be amazed at the different thing you can do. You have a special place in your heart for all God's creations. I have never seen a little girl that loved God, Animals, and People as much as you do. Plus you are the only one that can make your Daddy walk the line. You have a fiery spirit about you, but you are also the most laid back child I have ever known. I can't begin to tell you how much I love you, and how special you are to me. You have been there for me, way before I ever laid eyes on you.

I love you Stephanie, and pray that you continue to grow up to be the caring and loving person you are. You are a very special girl, and I am proud to be your mommy.

When it rains it Pours

Since last Wednesday night, we have had two sick kids. Stephanie started out with a really bad sinus infection and then Wednesday night she got the stomach flu. We were hoping it was from all the drainage, but then Saturday evening Steven got sick throwing up. He has been throwing up every since. I took him today to the doctor, because we couldn't get him to stop. We had to cancel their birthday party on Sunday, we are going to try again this Sunday. I just hope he is feeling better, so he can go trick n treat tomorrow night.

Stephanie Sick

Early this morning Stephanie woke me up with a big surprise. Mommy, I am not feeling good, next thing I know I am being throw up on... I got up cleaned everyone up, and spent the rest of the night holding her little head over a bucket. She finally stop around 7:00 am this morning. Tonight she seems a little better, but she has a cough, running nose and running a fever. I guess I will be visiting the doctor tomorrow.

I just hope she is better for Saturday night Trunk n Treat, and Sunday for hers and Steven birthday party.

Please say a little prayer for Stephanie.

Thanks

STEVEN BIRTHDAY

Steven woke up early yesterday, wanting to know if it was his birthday. We said yes, he asks if school was open now. He was up and got ready without any delay.

He walked into school with his head up high letting everyone know, it was his birthday. Ms. Trull made it really special for him, he was the line leader, picked the prayer of the day, and wore a birthday crown. We took in cupcakes, crackers, and yahoo drinks for his party. Julian, one of his friends cut out a picture out of a book from home and gave it to him. Steven thought that was the biggest gift ever. His partner gave him two motorcycles, stickers, and a Spiderman night light. Plus his class gave him a book.

When I got off work, we took him to Golden Coral to eat. They sang happy birthday to him and brought him a cake with a candle. His face turned red as a beet. Last night was kid’s night so a clown was there making animal balloons, hats, and doing magic tricks. When we got back to the car, he had a scooter waiting on him.

All and all I think this was his best birthday ever.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVEN

Happy 5th Birthday, Steven Eugene Moore Jr.!

We love you so much. You bring incredible joy to our lives. You’re sweet, carrying, funny, and a joy to be around. Daddy and I are so grateful for you.

When you were born, I was so scared, even though I had a little one already at home. I never wanted you out of my reach. There were some scaring times and rough bumps in the road, but we made it though them. I think God every day for given us a second chance.

As you grow, I continue to be amazed at the different thing you can do and your determination to try and do different thing. I love watching you ride your bike, play with your cars, help daddy work around the house, but most of all I love just looking at you every chance I get. As long as you are around you always bring a smile to our faces and make us laugh.

I love you Steven, and pray that you continue to grow up to be the caring and loving person you are. You are a very special boy, and I am proud to be your mommy.

QUAKES IN WINSTON SALEM NORTH CAROLINA

It has rained here all night and most of the day on Tuesday. In the middle of the night, there was a rumbling that made us wake up. We thought it was thunder, and went back to sleep. Found out in the morning it wasn't thunder we felt or heard it was a 2.6 earthquake! Then again last night we were watching TV and again we heard a loud noise and felt a shake. I thought someone was trying to break into the house. Then we saw on the news that we had another 2.4 earthquake. It was a weird day all around.

Tuesday, October 17, 2006

OUCH......

Last night I was woken from a dead sleep, by my little girl biting me. She also was in a dead sleep.

I ask her this morning what did you dream about last night:

Her = Mom, I dreamed I was eating ham, but it didn't taste like ham. It was nasty.

Me = I guess not, it was mommy you were eating........

What does the color of your car say about your personality type?

According to some research conducted in Great Britain, the color of your car says something about your personality type. And accordingly, based on your personality type, your likeliness to be involved in an accident (in the U.K. at least). The research shows that black cars are twice as likely to be involved in crashes as cream-colored cars. Whether this is true in the United States is unclear.

Just for fun, here is what the research implied about certain car colors:

Black cars denote an aggressive personality or someone who's an outsider or rebel.
Silver cars indicate someone who's cool, calm and slightly aloof.
Green cars can often be chosen by people with hysterical tendencies.
Yellow cars signify someone who is idealistic and novelty loving.
Blue cars are chosen by the more introspective, reflective and cautious driver.
Gray cars represent those who are calm, sober and dedicated to their work.
Red cars denote those who are full of zest, energy and drive, who think, move and talk quickly.
Pink cars are chosen by gentle, loving and affectionate drivers.
White cars represent status-seeking extrovert drivers.
Cream cars are the least likely to be involved in accidents and denote self-contained and controlled owners.

MY LITTLE BOY IS GROWING UP

When Steven was a baby, Stephanie couldn't say brother; so she started calling him "BUBBIE". Everyone thought it was so cute and we all started calling him Bubbie also. Since he started school, and all his class mates are calling him Steven, he doesn't want us to call him "BUBBIE" anymore. Every time we say Bubbie, he will tell us HIS NAME IS STEVEN. Yesterday his grandma keep calling him Bubbie, Steven got so upset, he finally said in a firm voice, "I HAVE TOLD YOU ALL DAY, MY NAME IS STEVEN."

It makes me sad; he is no longer my baby. He is my soon to be 5 year old Big Boy.

A NORMAL DAY

The kids are out of school for three days for teacher conference. It felt really weird working normal hours. I went in at 6:00 am and got off at 4:30 pm. When the kids are in school, I usually work 8:30 am until 7:00 pm. It feels so good to come home; have time to play outside with the kids before dark, cook supper and get some clothes washed before midnight. I am going to enjoy the rest of the week.

MY LUCK.....

Last Thursday (Oct 5th), when we were dropping the kids off at their school; one of the parents back into us. The lady starting crying and didn't want to call anyone, but I told her we really need to, because my NEW VAN (4 mths old) has a dent and my side mirror is hanging by a wire. So she called the police and we exchanged insurance information.

Today, I found out she let her insurance lapse and she doesn't have any coverage at this time.

Now my car has over $1000.00 worth of damage and I will have to turn in on my insurance, unless she reinstates her insurance.

When I told Steve, he started laughing and said "we couldn't get one of the doctor or lawyers to hit us; we had to get the one that doesn't have any insurance or money."

We have to laugh to keep from crying.

If she would have told me she was having trouble, we could have worked something out, but she is avoiding me and doesn't want to talk with me.

CAROWINDS TRIP

Yesterday we spent the day at Carowinds, the weather was cloudy and cool, but over all it was a nice day. Just to see the kids face when we pulled into the parking lot was worth the whole trip down. Stephanie said, "my dream has came true".

We rode all the rides at Nickelodeon Central, Carolina Goldrusher, Carolina Skytower, Scooby-Doo's™ Haunted Mansion. Steve and Stephanie rode the Ricochet by themselve. We couldn't believe we got Steven on two roller coaster. He did really good, NO TEARS. Stephanie would have rode every roaster coaster in the park if she was tall enough. We were standing in line waiting to ride the Danny Phantom’s Phantom Flyers, and she said her life long dream has came true.

We had a nice day even though it was cool.

DIXIE CLASSIC FAIR TRIP

Today we spent the morning at the Dixie Classic Fair with the kids class. We went thought old town, saw all the animals, the petting zoo, saw the pig races, and got to get inside a fire truck and a army tank. I think the funniest part of the day was eating lunch at the fair. All the kids were great and all their parents should be really proud of them.

Stephanie = It's not our fought mommy

Mom = Then who's fought is it.

Stephanie = It's Adam and Eve fought, because they ate the apple.

What could I say to that......

IN LOVING MEMORY OF FRANK D BARRETT

THE BROKEN CHAIN
If we only knew that day that God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly; in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you; you did not go alone;
For part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories; your love is still our guide;
and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.
Our family chain was broken, and nothing seems the same;
but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

We love you very much
and miss you terribly!

DADDY CONVERSION WITH THE KIDS YESTERDAY

Stephanie was lying in the floor. She looked up at her daddy and said:

Stephanie: Daddy I wish I could live in Heaven.

Daddy: Why

Stephanie: Because no one is sad or sick.

Daddy: That's true, but mommy and daddy would miss you very much.

Stephanie: I know, but we will all be together one day.

Steve said this was why too deep for him. He just picked her up and hugged her.

Then when they were coming to pick me up at work:

Steven: Daddy why did God turn it on so bright. (While covering his eyes)

Daddy: Turn what on so bright.

1st PARENT CONFLICT AT SCHOOL

Today when Steve went to pick the kids up at school, one little boy’s mom was having a cow... Her little boy had a bruise on him. The little boy said that Steven and two other boys ganged up on him and pushed him down. Ms Trull was trying to explain to the mom that Steven and the other boys was playing and her son got in the middle of them and fell down. Another little girl in the class was even trying to tell her what happen... So to make the mom happy all three boys had to tell him they were sorry.

After the mom left, Steve got with Ms Trull and wanted to make sure Steven didn't do anything wrong. She said that they were just being boys and were playing little rough and the little boy just got caught in the middle.

If I went to school and complained about scraps and bruise I would have been there everyday.

STEPHANIE HAD HER FIRST BLOW OUT

When we went to pick Stephanie up at school, she was in the "THINKING CHAIR". She got upset with the teacher because she didn't get a stamp today. Ms. Trull explained that she didn't get it because she wouldn't help clean up. She then started crying and it wasn't no stopping her. Her heart was broke.

When I walked in the class room and saw her in the "THINKING CHAIR". My heart broke. Then to hear her crying, that her teacher doesn't love her anymore. Boy that just broke my heart and the teachers even more. We both talked to her and tried to explain why she had to get her clothes pin moved, no stamp, and why she had to go to the "THINKING CHAIR". She finally gave Ms. Trull a hug and told her she was sorry.

I know why Stephanie had a blow out at school today; we had a late night last night. It was after 10:00 before we got home, feed, and put to bed. She needs at least 10 hours of sleep, the more the better.

I don't get off work until 7:00 pm. I am trying to work my regular hours and 10 hours over time. If I didn't need the money I wouldn't, but I need the extra money to send her to private school. This is tearing me up inside....

WELCOME BACK MY FRIEND

Today is my best friend and co-worker first day back at work. She has been out of work for 6 months. She was in a car wreck the last of February, a week or two weeks later she started having pains in her side. When she went to her medical doctor, they sent her for a stomach scan. That is when they diagnose her with Stage two Ovarian Cancer. (Thank God for the wreck) Since then she has been though 3 big chemo treatments and is having small Chemo treatment every Wednesday until December the 2nd.

With every thing she has been though, and things she has lost. The one thing she hasn’t lost was her faith in God. If anything it has got stronger.

Now when I talk to her, I feel like I have to watch what I say or more or less what I complain about. My problems are nothing compare to what she has been though or what she is still going though. When I start complaining about little stuff, and I catch myself. I tell her how sorry I am, she tells me not to worry. She says she now knows how precious life is and she just doesn’t let the little stuff get her down. I still feel so bad.

I thank God everyday for her safe return back to me; her friendship means the world to me.

Welcome Back my Dear Friend.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY

Today would have been my dad's 73rd Birthday. There isn't a day goes by I don't think of him. My life will never be the same. I know he is in a better place, and I know he went to heaven so I could have my babies. But I miss him so much; if I could only tell him one more time I LOVE HIM. Everyone tells me, I need to let go, but I can't I miss him. If I would have known that night would have been the last time I talked to him, I would have made sure he knew I love him and how great of a Daddy he was. You never know when you say Good bye or Good Night to some one it could be the last time. I try know to let everyone that means a lot to me know how I feel about them. Dad if you are listening please know I love you and you were the greatest dad every.

I found this poem by Judy Burnette that say everything:

Dad
by Judy Burnette

Dad...so many images come to mind
whenever I speak your name;
It seems without you in my life
things have never been the same.

What happened to those lazy days
when I was just a child;
When my life was consumed in you
in your love, and in your smile.

What happened to all those times
when I always looked to you;
No matter what happened in my life
you could make my gray skies blue.

Dad, some days I hear your voice
and turn to see your face;
Yet in my turning...it seems
the sound has been erased.

Dad, who will I turn to for answers
when life does not make sense;
Who will be there to hold me close
when the pieces just don't fit.

Oh, Dad, if I could turn back time
and once more hear your voice;
I'd tell you that out of all the dads
you would still be my choice.

Please always know I love you
and no one can take your place;
Years may come and go
but your memory will never be erased.

Today, Jesus, as You are listening
in your home above;
Would you go and find my dad
and give him all my love.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROBBIE

Today is my brother birthday, he is 43. One of my favorite memories of us growing up was us measuring to see who reach the air conditioner first, I did even though he was 4 year older then me he was short little fellow, then one day he went to bed and woke up taller then me. He’s now 6' tall and I’m 5'2. Robbie is a great big brother; I have to say all three of my brother is pretty wonderful.

I hope you have a wonderful birthday, Robbie.

SECOND WEEK OF SCHOOL & LABOR DAY WEEKEND UPDATE

I can tell my kids are in school. Steven has been sick the whole time, he has missed two days already and Stephanie has missed one. Other then being sick, they are loving school. Stephanie friend is Gwen and Steven friend is Aaron. On 30th of August they went to Chapel for the first time, Steven was scared. He turned white as a sheet and the lip came out, they teacher saw the look fast and sat him with his sister. He was ok then. They go to chapel every Wednesday, we will see how tomorrow goes. Thursday the 31st the measured and weighed all the kids in the class, Steven is the biggest boy in the class. Today they brought a memory book home of all their classmates and teachers pictures. They couldn't wait to show us their friend’s pictures and tell us story about each kid. I really enjoyed listen to them.

We had a pretty good Labor Day weekend; it rained two of the 3 day weekend. We went to my brothers (Robbie) house on Saturday night for a cook-out. After we ate, my nephew (Jesse) got his BB gun out, and they had a target contest. I think Steven wanted to shot the gun, but he was too scared. Sunday we went to Salem Lake, to feed the Geese and Ducks, and then on Monday we pretty much stayed home and watched movies.

First week of School

So far so good, no one has got into trouble in school. Steven has already got sick; he had a mild case of chicken pox or allergic reaction to "Zest Soap". The doctor isn't sure because he had his chicken pox shot. His spots didn't look like regular chicken pox, but with the vaccine shot for chicken pox can make the spots look like anything. I hope it was the soap. He was able to go back to school today.

Stephanie is loving school so far, her friend is Gwen. She said Steven's friends Aaron and Preston was asking for him yesterday.

It is so funny hearing them tell us about school. They have no idea they are learning. When we get up from the table, Stephanie will say, "Don't forget to push you chair under." And they both make sure we thank God for our food.

They love their teacher, Ms Trull. She has made them feel safe and loved. It really helps when we have to live them.

We go for our first teacher parent meeting tomorrow night and they are having a big school picnic on Thursday. I hope it doesn’t rain us out.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

Today was the first day of school. Both Stephanie and Steven got up really good, even though Steven would have like to stay in bed. Steven wouldn't eat this morning; we finally got him to eat his bacon. When we got to school, Stephanie was talking a mile a minute and Steven was white as a sheet and looked scared to death. He didn't cry, but we could tell he wanted to. Steven acts so big, but deep down he just a little boy. I think it was harder on Steve, he has been watching them during the day. He had to go home to an empty house. He called me at work, he said it was lonely. I told him to get busy cleaning. They get off at 12:00 today, so I am going to take the afternoon off and spend the day with them.

UPDATE:

When we went to get the kids from school they were playing and didn't want to go home. They had a really good day and can't wait for tomorrow. I am so glad.

OPEN HOUSE

Last night we went to our first open house, Stephanie and Steven starts school on Thursday the 24th. They had fun playing and getting to know their teachers and some of the other kids. The teacher ask them which color table would they like to sit at, Steven picked the "Green Table" and Stephanie picked the "Red Table". Steven told her he only pick Green because she didn't have a Brown Table.... Stephanie can't wait to play with some Girls. I hope there is another prissy girl like Stephanie. We have a parent meeting on the 31st to go over all the rules for their class rooms. Boy, I can't wait.

Last Weekend Before School Starts

This the last weekend before my kids start school for the first time. I am so scared for them; they have never been away from me, daddy, or grandparents. I know I have to let them go, and it is part of growing up, but my heart hurts anyway. I have been blessed that their Daddy was able to watch them while I worked during the day and me at night and weekend. I know they are going to a good Christian School and I feel safe, but it still hurts. I have asked God to be with them and help them adjust to their new life.

Daddy Lion

Yesterday, my DH fell asleep on the cough watching TV with the kids. He woke up with two kids laughing and pointing at him. He asked them “What are you doing?” They start laughing even harder, they said, we are playing Zoo and you are the Daddy Lion and we are your cubs. He said and why am I a lion, they said while laughing because your snore’s sounds just like a lion’s roars.

He thought to himself, what all do they do to me when I‘m asleep.

I was thinking when he told me "what a big imagination."

Clayton Patteson

Sunday night I found out they called in hospice for my Uncle Clayton. His enzymes count was high and his kidneys isn't working good. Last night mom went and spent time with him; they had a nice talk and visit. I have cried all day today thinking of my dad and missing him. I know he would be there for my mom; he would have been the rock that she needs now. I know he is with her and is giving her the strength she needs to get her though this. I have blog before how close her and her brothers and sisters are, they all are having a tough time with losing one of them. I know with God the brothers and sister will be ok, but it his family I am worried about. My Aunt Betty is in denial. I know she is not giving up hope and that is a good thing, but is it good for her. Today, I got a call from my brother at work and Clayton had a rough night and his having a rough day. They had to call in the hospice nurse. Today all the kids, grandkids, 2 brothers, 5 sisters are with him. They are having a prayers session with him and God. Since I can’t be at their prayer session here is my prayer for my Uncle Clayton.

My prayer to God:

Dear God,

I pray that you will place your hands on Clayton and what every your well is to be please help Clayton. God please be with his wife, kids, grandkids and great-grandkids, they are going to need you. Please don’t get upset with them if they start questioning your doings, they are just upset and they are hurting. God I ask you to be with his brothers and sisters, they are losing the circle they have been fighting to keep together since they lost their parents. I know God, with out you know of us would be here. God I am now giving my uncle to you. Please open your doors for him and greet him with open arms. He is a good christen man.

In God I pray, Amen.

WEEKEND RECAP

We had a busy weekend; I had to have the Van in Greensboro at the KIA Dealership at 8:00 am. Saturday Morning for a routine oil change, tire routing, and check all the fluids levels. After dropping off the van we went out to eat at Golden Corral for breakfast, and then we went shopping.

There was a Bike shop in Chapel Hill that Steve wanted to visit. Bike Performance had a big clearance sale. Steve was able to find him a new helmet, jersey and socks at a very good price. Plus we didn’t have to pay sales taxes.

Then off to store looking for school clothes for the kids. We went to Hemricks, Old Navy, Kmart, Target, and Wal-Mart. I hit a gold mine at Kmart for Steven. I had to shop around for Stephanie, but was able to find some clothes. I bought them both five new outfits for $40.00. I could have gotten Steven enough clothes, which he could have, wore a new outfit until the weather got cold. I stopped at five. We were on the go all day, didn’t get home until 8:00 pm. I couldn’t ask for two better kids, they were will behaved.

Sunday morning we sleep in until 9:00, then ate breakfast and went and got grocery for the week, watched movies with the kids and played games.

We had a nice family weekend spending time together.

CELEBRATION

Steve stopped smoking one year ago today, I am so proud of him. I know it was hard on him, and took a lot of will power. At one time he was up to 3 ½ packs a day, he did cut back some before quitting. He said he can tell the biggest difference in his daily actives, plus now the kids isn’t giving him a hard time.

Why to go babe, I love you. Good Job.....

A WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY

Steve and the kids made my birthday really special yesterday. I got off work at 11:30, when I got home they were all hiding and jumped out yelling “Happy Birthday”. Even Abby (dog) barked. They kids really thought Abby said “Happy Birthday”. They made me a cake and got me a pair of tennis shoes. We went to eat at Fire Mountain Grill Buffet for lunch, and then we went to Wal-mart and Toy R Us. When we got home from eating my mom had called and sang “Happy Birthday” on the answering machine. She is at the beach this week with two of my brothers.

It was so hot yesterday, we all went and lay in bed watching movies. After the movies, we let the kids play in the water sprinkler.

I loved just laying around the house spending time with my kids.

BIRTHDAY WISH

There is one birthday wish, I wish I could have! As far back as I can remember, my dad would wake me up and sing “HAPPY BIRTHDAY” to me. He couldn’t hit a note, but boy; he loved to sing to us. As a teenager, I would think “Please Stop”, but now, what I would give to hear that beautiful voice.

I MISS MY DADDY………

PRAYER REQUEST

Last night we got a call my Uncle Bill (Dad Older Brother) was rush to the hospital. He had surgery on the 24th of July to have his lower left lung removed. Yesterday afternoon, he had a sharp pain in his leg and fell. His daughter took him to the locale hospital, where they found he broke his ankle and also found blood clots in both legs and some in his lungs. They rush him to a bigger hospital in Idaho, where his blood pressure was as low as 42 over 0. The last report my mom(at the beach) got they had his blood pressure stable, but his heart beat was still irregular. He is in ICU, in very bad condition. Please say a prayer for him, asking God to take Care of him.
